Major Flooding and Wind Event Expected Jan 9th - 10th
Rain is expected to start on Jan. 9th around 2pm and continue overnight with the heaviest rain around 6pm. 2-3 inches are expected and widespread flooding is expected throughout the area with rivers cresting around 1pm on the 10th.
Wind gusts are expected to be approximately 40mph. Please secure your belonging and stay safe
Remember:
- Do not walk, swim or drive through flood waters. Turn Around, Don’t Drown!
- Stay inside your car if it is trapped in rapidly moving water. Get on the roof if water is rising inside the car.
- Just six inches of moving water can knock you down, and one foot of moving water can sweep your vehicle away.
- Stay off bridges over fast-moving water.
- Evacuate if told to do so
